Moscow — August 15, 2025 — Kseniya Alexandrova, a Russian model, television personality, and former Miss Universe contestant, has tragically died at the age of 30.
Her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, confirmed her passing in an emotional Instagram post on August 13, one day after her death. While the agency did not initially disclose the cause, Russian media later reported that Alexandrova died in a car accident on the M9 highway. According to her husband, the couple’s vehicle collided head-on with a moose that entered the roadway, resulting in a fatal head injury for Alexandrova.
“Kseniya was bright, talented, and extraordinarily gifted,” her agency wrote. “She knew how to inspire, support, and give warmth to everyone around her. For us, she will forever remain a symbol of beauty, kindness, and inner strength.”
A Life in Pageantry and Beyond
Born in Moscow in 1995, Alexandrova studied finance at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, graduating in 2016. She first rose to prominence in the 2017 Miss Russia competition, where she was named first runner-up. Later that year, she represented her country in Miss Universe 2017 in Las Vegas after the national winner, Polina Popova, chose to compete in Miss World instead.
During the international pageant, Alexandrova expressed a message of resilience and hope:
“I want people all around the world to believe in themselves and to always have a dream,” she said in an interview translated from Russian. “We should be strong and never give up on our dreams. In this world, everything is possible.”
Her elegance and charisma earned her recognition not just in Russia but also on the global stage.
Personal Life and Advocacy
Earlier this year, in March 2025, Alexandrova married her longtime partner, a fact she proudly shared in an April Instagram post. Beyond modeling, she pursued a passion for psychodrama therapy and, by 2022, revealed on social media that she was practicing professionally, using her platform to advocate for mental health awareness.
Global Tributes
The Miss Universe Organization joined tributes with a heartfelt statement on August 14:
“Her grace, beauty, and spirit left an unforgettable mark on the Miss Universe family and beyond. May her memory continue to inspire kindness, strength, and love in all those who were fortunate enough to know her.”
Colleagues, friends, and fans across the world have since flooded social media with condolences, remembering Alexandrova as more than a beauty queen—a symbol of resilience, compassion, and inner strength.
