North America is home to two great animals: grizzly bears and bald eagles.
Grizzlies are among the most feared animals in the North American wilderness. They have sharp teeth and knife-like claws that can rip off a person’s face, and they are extremely defensive of their cubs. Add to this an impressive running speed of up to 30 mph, making the grizzly bear a perfect apex predator.
Meanwhile, the bald eagle is renowned as a national symbol of the United States. In the wild, these powerful raptors have a reputation for thievery and skullduggery. Often, rather than catching their own food, they will steal it from other animals, such as ospreys. This makes the bald eagle the perfect troll.
In the video below, a grizzly bear minding its own business is harassed by a cheeky bald eagle. The eagle strikes near the end of the video, grabbing the unsuspecting bear’s head with its sharp talons.
You know that’s gotta hurt! And, since the eagle can fly away from danger, he/she doesn’t have to face the dire repercussions.
As the video makes clear, the bald eagle is one of nature’s unexpected trolls. Not even a grizzly bear is safe from their antics.
Grizzly bears are not the only victims of bald eagles’ antics. In fact, an entire town in Alaska has been overrun by bald eagles—often making life difficult for locals running errands around town.
