“A Costly Mistake: How a Buffalo’s Oversight Led to a Lion’s Feast on a Baby Buffalo”

November 1, 2023 by admin

The African buffalo, like many other herbivores, is also a herd. However, the strongest point that we can see in wild buffalo is the solidarity and best efforts to protect fellow human beings.

When an individual is attacked, buffalo will pull the whole herd together with the highest hope of rescue. There have been many cases of lions – the king of animals but also getting hurt by the counterattack from big prey.

Possessing a strong, erratic and extremely united personality, but there are also cases where the adult buffaloes in the herd accidentally push their fellows (and worse, the young) into a dangerous situation.

As seen in the video above, in order to quickly escape the sight of the hungry lions, the huge wild buffalo in front ran for sale, half dead, accidentally blocking the way of the young buffalo following right behind.

And for an adept predator like the lion, it’s only a brief moment but enough for it to earn a full meal.

Although there was a move to rescue the young, but before the fierceness of the lions, the wild buffaloes could not do anything but watch. That is to see, in the world of wildlife, just a moment, just a carelessness can push any animal to death.
