Brave Mother Buffalo’s Heroic Act Thwarts Vicious Hyena Assault

October 12, 2023 by Pham Hien

Buffaloes are always the prey that predators always aim for, especially young calves because they are too young to attack back.

A pack of hyenas is hunting, they target a calf in the herd and are planning an attack. They approached the buffalo herd to get a better grasp of the situation. When the opportunity is ripe, they take action.

After a while of chasing, the hyenas caught the calf.
They pin their prey to the ground, giving them no chance to escape.

The mother buffalo saw this and rushed to protect the calves, it attacked the hyenas so that they could not harm the calves.

After a while, the whole herd of buffaloes rushed to protect the calves and chased away the predator. The hyenas were exhausted, so they gave up their fat prey and regretfully left.
