While Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings has been hit with replacement rumors, one source claims this couldn’t be further from the truth as they confirm he’s been “hitting his stride” on the gameshow.
In August of this year many fans feared Ken Jennings was “at risk of being replaced” after the new host of Pop Culture Jeopardy! was announced as Colin Jost instead of him. But now, one source says this couldn’t be further from the truth as they say the 50-year-old television personality is currently thriving in his position.
In an interview with the US Sun, one source said: “Despite rumors he might be replaced, Ken is going nowhere fast and is pushing to get a longer contract on the show. Hes really started hitting his stride, even though he’s faced a lot of criticism for blunders.”

The insider went on to add that many members of the crew even prefer him over Colin. They explained: “Many of the crew members think he’s better than Colin. Ken makes fewer mistakes and even asks to redo sections that producers think are fine. He doesnt appear nervous like Colin and is getting better every week.”
Comparing the two, the source said that although Ken doesn’t possess the same level of “star power” that Colin does – as he’s worked on Saturday Night Live and is married to A-lister Scarlett Johansson – he has an upper hand due to his experience. The insider explained that Ken has an “advantage” because he’s previously competed on Jeopardy! himself and is familiar with many of the clues and knowledge needed to compete on the series.
The source said: “It’s obvious he knows the answer to many of the questions and is quick to chat about different topics with the contestants in between games. Ken is popular and well-respected, and some of the crew first met him 20 years ago, theyd be upset to see him pushed out in favor of Colin.”
The insider said that despite the crew’s preference for Ken, his job his ultimately in the hands of viewers. He source explained: “But how popular he is on set is different from how he comes across on screen, and it’ll be up to the viewers whether he stays or goes,” and added: “Producers are still eager to mix things up and have Colin host spin-offs, they deliver completely different shows.”
