Kyle Richards’ love life has been heavily scrutinized for years. Speculation about her marriage began as early as season 1 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and in 2023, she and her husband Mauricio Umansky separated.
More recently, the 55-year-old’s sexuality has become a topic of interest after she was frequently seen with country singer Morgan Wade.
“I have never, ever questioned my sexuality in my life, ever,” she told cameras during the season 14 premiere of RHOBH. “But I think all of the crazy speculation actually did make me think twice.”
While Kyle’s sexuality is a deeply personal matter, and she is not obligated to share details with the public, she did open up during the episode about how the speculation impacted her family, including conversations with her children.
The rumors intensified after Kyle portrayed Morgan’s love interest in the “Fall in Love With Me” music video. However, she clarified during the season 13 reunion that there was no romantic relationship between her and Morgan.
“I mean, I love her and she’s my friend and I love her,” she said.
Kyle also revealed that she was surprised by the direction of the music video. “I didn’t really know the creative behind it until I got there,” she said. “I said to the director, ‘I’ve never actually kissed anyone on-camera, let alone a woman—or off-camera.’ I was very nervous and anxious, but if I’m being honest with myself, I was obviously curious in order to say yes.”
She admitted that agreeing to the music video came from a specific feeling. “You know what? She’s hot. What can I say?”
“I’m evolving, I’m changing,” she added. “I’m clearly going through some evolution of my own and I don’t know what the future holds.”
Kyle explained that she only began questioning her sexuality after the public speculation surrounding her friendship with Morgan began.
